    Best Apps for an Effective Workout Plan

    Fitness is fast becoming a norm. But going to the gym or getting fancy equipment may not be a feasible option for everyone.

    However, when it comes to exercise equipment the most effective gear may be right in front of you; your phone.

    Technology and the internet have brought the world into our hands, and this holds for working out as well. Today, several apps cater to people looking for workouts to do at their leisure, whether that is in the gym, at home, or even on a vacation. You no longer need to find a good spot or even a personal trainer, just search for a specific workout plan and explore away.

    To help you get started (and motivated) we’ve put together a list of apps that have proven to be effective and user-friendly. Just get a reliable Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as Cox Internet, and get workout plans in the palm of your hands.

    Nike Training Club (NTC)

    This app could have easily been an afterthought.

    One would think that a conglomerate such as Nike, which is dominant enough already, would have made a few well-produced workouts and left it at that. But Nike went all out with its app.

    The Nike Training Club (NTC) is not a vanity project to boost the brand, instead offers comprehensive fitness programs and a diverse set of workouts catering to all kinds of goals. When you start with the app, they give you a small quiz that tries to get your preferences on the type of workouts you want and then gives you recommendations accordingly.

    They have the whole buffet; HIIT, yoga, bodyweight workouts; you name it, they’ve got it. These are usually 25 to 40 minutes long and include warmups and cool-down stretches. Additionally, they are customizable and have stages based on how much you want to exercise.

    Couch to 5K (C25K)

    Everyone starts their running journey with a different level of fitness. Maybe you ran in high school and want to get back into it. Or have you always been active but never started running? If you like to run, this app is for you.

    C25K is a training program that extends to nine weeks and is designed to facilitate people to change their lifestyle from procrastination to an active one.

    This app is practical and makes it easy to keep track of where you were in the program. It tracks your runs for you. Each time you run one, the next time you use the app, you will be taken to the next run. Running generally makes one feel calmer, less anxious, more confident, and happier which is why it is often considered as one of the best exercises.

    Beachbody On Demand

    Like Netflix, BeachBody (now called BODi) is very much like a streaming platform. That’s why you need a streaming device to follow workouts and videos. This app can be accessed through a tablet, desktop computer, smartphone, or TV.

    The wide range of programs is also great for those who get bored quickly during a workout since you can constantly change things up as you see fit. BODgroups is another great feature it offers that you can get with a Beachbody on Demand membership. With BODgroups, you can connect with other members, connect with your trainer, and instantly create a sense of ownership in your fitness program.

    Moreover, all trainers are full of enthusiasm, which is also very pleasant for beginners. You can also filter and select workouts by time, fitness level, and trainer, making it much easier to find the right workout for you.

    Adidas Training by Runtastic

    Not to be left behind, Adidas has a fitness app too.

    Users of the free app will continue to have access to the Adidas online community and blog posts, as well as the ability to participate in competitions and training groups. You also get general running stats such as your weekly activity and how far you are from your personal goal. You can add a note, check the weather, and see the current mileage you’ve driven in your running shoes.

    You’ll also hear a voice that summarizes your run so you don’t have to touch your phone until you kick off your shoes and have a drink. You can follow 48 different sports such as walking, lacrosse, jumping, rowing, cycling, and swimming. Tracking data varies by sport. Since Adidas Running is a successful brand, you can’t go wrong with its features, design, and attention to detail.

    FitOn

    FitOn is a fitness app that offers a variety of workouts. Although some features of the app are only available with a Pro subscription, all workouts are completely free. What makes FitOn different is that celebrities and celebrity trainers run many of the classes. From HIIT and cardio to fitness aficionados, and from yoga to kickboxing, meditation and dancing, thye have it all. Another big plus is that you set your schedule and use your “end goal” as your motivation, so you don’t train just for the sake of exercising.

    Fitbod

    If you’re trying to hit a specific goal, like bodybuilding or powerlifting, it will definitely get you there faster than if you were training alone unless you’re an experienced trainer. With just a few taps on your phone, you can set up the app and create your own customized workout routine every day. In addition, this app tracks your past performance, takes into account your preferences and goals, asks about available fitness equipment, and offers you unique and effective workouts. The Fitbod fitness app also has the option to make changes to your workouts as soon as you create them, such as adding more or eliminating exercises as needed. Plus, you always have the option to upgrade your goal or training schedule.

    These are just some of the apps you can take advantage of to get started on your fitness journey. Given the advancements in technology and the ease of availability due to the internet, it is impossible not to find something that works for you. So set a goal, and get moving.
